This extraordinary convertible owes its lines to Mario Felice Boano who, after the death of Giacinto Ghia in 1944, had taken over the body of the same name. It is the last of four special cabriolets, of which, one was destroyed, a second, revised, is unrecognizable and a third is in Japan. The design of Boano is still spectacular after 65 years. The aluminum body is perfectly adjusted to a structure of small steel tubes, perforated so as not to increase weight. The complex is very rigid to avoid twisting and the door locks are designed to provide maximum strength. The car is immediately recognizable with its Alfa Romeo badge, but we do not find the brand's typical grille anywhere.
